Traditionally, the father of the bride increases the first speech to welcome and provides thanks to everyone inside wedding reception. He then talks with regards to his daughter; about his wonderful thoughts and her accomplishments, etc. And publicly welcomes your groom as a new member of the family and offers the first toast to the newlyweds.
The groom usually delivers the other speech; thanking the bride's mothers and fathers, his own parents, those involved in wedding and reception, and proposes a toast on the bridesmaids.
